iceolatedqueen Elsa's family was never very well off, and they had their debts here and there, but they got by. Until, when Elsa was sixteen, her parents were killed in an accident. She was left looking after her twelve year old little sister, with bills and debts building up. Though they were assisted by a friend of their late parents, she knew that if she didn't start bringing in money, they would soon be on the streets. She asked their parents friend if she could work for them.
Tara though, ran a, slightly questionable business. Though legal and registered. Moon Haven was looked down upon by many, and celebrated by many others. Though for the most part it was a place where people could go for dinner and a show, the entertainers would sing and dance and perform shows and stories for them, the entertainers were also courtesans. They could be requested for, other acts as well, in their private quarters.
Elsa was underage though. Though Tara agreed to let her work for her, it was only as a performer. She had the voice of an angel, and the face of one too. She was only allowed to perform on stage. Sing, dance, and perform in the shows.
That did not stop men from requesting her though. They were denied, again and again. Tara made it clear each time that she was not a registered courtesan, only a performer.
As bills started piling up though, Elsa knew that she needed to bring in more money. She couldn't rely on Tara to pay for their bills and debts just because they were friends. On her eighteenth birthday, she asked to become a registered courtesan as well, to earn the extra money she needed. Though she tried to talk her out of it, Elsa insisted, and she was soon the most requested girl in the house.
She never told her sister the things she did to pay the bills. As far as Anna knew, Elsa was a waitress who worked late at bars. She wore her hair up all the time at home or when she had to go out. She dressed plain and proper. She was unrecognizable as the "Snow Queen of Moon Haven".
Everything would change though, when a young man was brought to the Moon Haven for his twenty first birthday by his friends, and laid eyes upon the young woman who had been paid to sing for him for his birthday. Had been paid to spend the night with him, though he refused to do anything with her but talk, for he found her fascinating. He wanted to get to know the girl, not the performer. Not the courtesan. Just the real her.
Though she had met countless men in her five years of working here, and pleased countless more in the three years she'd started accepting requests, Jack was different. And for the first time, Elsa was in danger of breaking the number one rule.
